Good Morning!  its a fabulous start to the day!  Now I've got to go to work...  I thought I'd give you a sneak peak into what I got all fired up about this morning.  Yesterday I wrote a little bit about my Pen Pal Bonnie and today is small continuation of that.  Several months ago I made her the beginnings of a small art journal.  Once a month or so we exchange pages that are 4x4 for each others journals.  Though she laments that she's not quite cut out for it I believe that her pages are completely wonderful and gorgeous.  As part of her Christmas Surprise I'm working on several 4x4 pages for her journal.  I started out this morning with Mixed Media paper from Strathmore that I cut to 16x16.  I then just started playing with my favorite stencils and gesso.  Then I brought out Burnt Umber, Azure Blue, and Deep Rose gouche.  I applied it liberally with a brush and then spread it around with a baby wipe.  I'm totally in love with the results.  I was on a roll, but the reality of daily life, sigh....

My thoughts are that I'll come back with script stamps and my own lettering before I start cutting down it to mini journal size.

I've been working on a little Christmas Present for my Pen Pal Bonnie. The letter I sent her in October was delivered in the envelope that is pictured below.

I normally decorate  her envelopes and I wasn't expecting the rave review that she sent me in return.  So, I decided she needed another angel, but this time on canvas board.

So here's Bonnie Angel!...

 There's a couple of things that I noticed when I scanned it in that I may go back in a touch up, but for the most part she's done! and I Love Her, hope Bonnie Does too!!! 

I've decided that scanning for the most part is better than trying to photograph it, but you can't quite get the feel of the gold paint.

Pin It Now! I've been a little preoccupied the last couple of months and my blogging has suffered just a little. There's been birthdays, vacations, more birthdays, music concerts, retreats and last but certainly not least this fall has been the season for Xbox game releases where my geekiness and fandom reign on high.

Borderlands 2
Dishonored
Assassin's Creed 3
Halo 4

Oh boy! Dishonored is such a well kept secret. Produced by Bethesda the creators of the Elder Scroll franchise. It's a short game in comparison, but its a great story and fabulous game play. Borderlands 2 kept the Bink in constant thrall. It's a fun quirky game with lots of pop culture references. And then there's Assassin's Creed 3. My oh my such a gorgeous game the additional gameplay features add so much to the overarching story line. I've been taught well by my Bink and have emersed myself in finding and unlocking everything so my enjoyment is only growing and the end isn't even close yet. It's like a really good book that you read slowly as to prolong the ending because the story is a treasure that you just don't want to let go of just yet. And there is Halo 4 which I haven't gotten or played yet. But one day. Maybe soon I will be hunting down the covenant scum with Master Chief and Cortana. Can't wait, but I'll continue hunting down Redcoats Regulars for now.

This said I've not been neglecting my art table, just altering my priorities just a little. I've gotten a lot done and will share soon.
